Advanced speed and reflex training course includes: an explanation of what is speed and how it works, what makes us slow, how to reach your maximum performance, how to react faster (defending and counterattacking), the training path / exercises, how to speed-up your mind / body, the most common errors and the relative solutions. We have decided to share our “secrets” about speed because only a small circle of people knows the principles that regulate an effective / fast combat flow and no one describes them in a systematic way.
Whoever follows these explanations with the right attention to the details, dedication and patience, gains the knowledge to build one of the most important combat skills: speed.
A note by Master Kongling – Speed is not the simple result of muscular training, who thinks this way will never express his maximum potential.
The goal: who is this course for?
This course is for intermediate / advanced level practitioners: the theory is simple and most of the exercises immediately applicable but without a basic technical and physical preparation, the student cannot reach the highest level of effectiveness; the indications must be followed meticulously and the exercises performed with regularity; after having eliminated everything that blocks your natural speed, every improvement that comes next is proportional to the quality of practice.
What we explain in this course is divided into 3 consecutive levels:
- Understand what makes a fighter fast and what not
- Correct all the errors (imposed by natural attitudes, wrong teaching, etc.)
- Train and optimize the whole to become every day faster and faster
A note by Master Kongling – This course is designed for high-level results that can be exploited as in sports competitions, as in self-defense (and in any kind of martial art). The idea is to redesign the instinct to defend / counterattack and the quick reasoning to attack in a rational / tactical way. These kinds of goals are not the results of a few tricks or of an infinite repetition of the same movements but of serious and gradual conditioning, first of your mind and then of your body: if one of these 2 elements does not respond coordinately the resulting effectiveness is reduced to zero. A real warrior must be ready to react instantly even to the most unexpected context and the simple education of preconfigured movements (after a certain level) is not the right answer.
How to get the best results with this course
The practices provided must be:
- Understood (the theory is “relatively” simple but you need a clear understanding of it)
- Experimented (you have to implement the theory gradually, being sure each time to do not lose anything from the past steps)
- Executed periodically (if you really want to reach your maximum performances, at least every 3-4 days)
